JPG for photos you share or upload anywhere. PNG for screenshots, logos and anything that needs transparency or pin-sharp text. WebP or AVIF for websites, where smaller files load faster.
Does converting lose quality?
Converting to PNG is lossless. JPG, WebP and AVIF use the quality slider; 85–90% looks identical to the original for photos.
